Privacy policy

Izavon collects as little as possible, keeps it only as long as it has to, and never sells it. In plain language, this is what happens to anything you send us.

Who this applies to

This policy covers izavon.com and the personal information Izavon collects through it. It does not cover the separate engagement letter and confidentiality terms that govern client work — those are issued directly and take precedence for anything relating to your accounting file.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, a short description of your business, and your message. Nothing else. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no third-party trackers.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry and, if it becomes a working relationship, to open a client file. The lawful basis is your consent, given by choosing to send the form, together with our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach the practice.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become clients are deleted after three years. If you become a client, your records are kept for the periods required of us by the Companies Act, the Tax Administration Act and FICA — generally five years from the end of the relevant tax period, and longer where a specific law requires it.

Who else sees it

Nobody buys it, and we do not share it for marketing. The site is hosted by Netlify and enquiry submissions pass through their infrastructure; email is hosted by GoDaddy. Both act as operators processing data on our instruction. Beyond that, information is disclosed only where a regulator, SARS or a court legally requires it.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries reach a mailbox protected by password and multi-factor authentication. Client records are held in access-controlled accounting systems. No system is perfect, and we will tell you and the Information Regulator promptly if a breach affects you.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Where the law obliges us to retain records we will say so and explain why. Write to info@izavon.com and you will have an answer within 30 days.

Information Officer

The Director of Izavon, Rynhard Thirion, who under section 56 of POPIA is the Information Officer of the practice by default. Reachable at info@izavon.com or on 064 039 0361.

If we get it wrong

Tell us first — most things are fixed in a phone call. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, whose details are at inforegulator.org.za.

Last updated 7 September 2026. This policy is written to be accurate and readable rather than to be exhaustive; it is not legal advice, and Izavon may update it as the practice grows.
